This website is designed to provide information regarding the proposed settlement of a class action lawsuit concerning Century Window Products. This lawsuit, captioned Robert Stout, on behalf of himself and all others similarly situated, v. JELD-WEN, inc, case number 1:08-cv-0652, was filed in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.
Mr. Stout claimed that JELD-WEN had breached the limited warranty that accompanied the Century Window Products in his home. JELD-WEN denied Mr. Stout's claims and denies that it is liable to Robert Stout under any legal theory. The Court has not decided the lawsuit.
While the case was pending, the parties entered into a proposed class settlement. The Settlement does not mean that JELD-WEN has breached its warranty. Pursuant to the Settlement, persons who are the Original Owners of Century Window Products in their homes may be eligible for certain benefits, depending on the circumstances.
